Weather in Illinois is always difficult to predict from year to year, but the farmers seem to be taking everything in stride.
A couple of years ago was the big drought, last year we got a great spring and things dried up toward the end.
In fact a year ago at this time many crops were already in the ground.
Not so this year as farmers continue to wait for the ground temperatures to warm up following a brutal winter.
The ideal temperature is around 52°, we’re still a little shy as all the spring showers have kept the ground cool and soggy.
