A Clay County woman was in court yesterday and was sentenced for her part in an accident that left two people dead.
Under terms of a plea deal, Kelsey Dawn Reid pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
In April 2013 Reid was driving a car at a high rate of speed when it went off CR 300 East and hit several trees.
That accident resulted in the deaths of Darrell Moore of Brazil and Alexis Holbert-Darkis.
Reid was sentenced to 18-months probation, including 90 days in-home detention.
She will also have her license revoked for five years and must complete 40 hours of community service.
Part of her community service will be spent making presentations to Northview and Clay City High School students on the dangers and consequences of speeding.
