Parents that are trying to start a charter school in Sullivan County made their case last night.
Union-Dugger high school and elementary will close at the end of this school year.
Last night state representatives from the Indiana Charter School Board heard presentations and reasons why a charter school should be approved to take the place of the soon to close schools.
Board members will consider information gathered and then hold another meeting on May 1st.
After that the board will vote on the Union-Dugger petition as well as those for three other charter schools being proposed in the state.
