Soon the Vigo County Public Library will look very different than it does now.
The library’s board of directors are now seeking bids to renovate the east and west wings.
Those bids will be opened at the next meeting of the board on April 21st.
The downtown building was constructed in the 1970s. The plan is to work on the east wing starting in late May and have renovations wrapped up in about four weeks and then start on the west wing.
Total cost of the renovations of the two wings is expected to run the in neighborhood of $250,000.
