Indiana Conservation Officers have found the bodies of a mother and child that drowned in flood waters.
Authorities say that Saturday 24-year-old Jana Payton and 5-year-old Bronson Liggett, of Paragon, died when a female driver, who was not identified tried to drive through flood waters when the vehicle became submerged.
The driver told Payton and Liggett, who couldn’t swim, to get on top of the vehicle while that person when to get help.
When the driver returned from getting help, the car, along with Payton and Liggett, were gone.
The bodies and vehicle were found about 100 yards away from its original location.
