The second suspect wanted in connection with the ongoing Marijuana investigation at 8963 East State Road 48 in northeastern Sullivan County is in custody. Police have arrested 59 year old Keith A. Joseph, of 8963 E. SR 48, Jasonville, IN. (Co-inhabitant at residence)
Joseph consulted with his attorney and turned himself into police around 1:30 this afternoon.
He is facing several drug related charges and is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $28,000 bond. Around 10:15 yesterday morning, a routine flyover of rural northeastern Sullivan County by Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Troopers, netted (68) marijuana plants, approximately (8) pounds of processed marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia at the 8963 E. SR 48 residence.
Another occupant of the home, Charles B. Beaver, was taken into custody yesterday at the residence. The estimated street value of the marijuana was $75,000. The plants ranged from approximately five to seven feet in height.
Indiana State Police find a large amount of marijuana growing in Sullivan County Thursday.
A state police plane was flying over a home at 8963 East State Road 48 near the Sullivan-Clay County Line just after 10 AM.
After seeing the pot from the air, officers went back with a search warrant and seized 68 marijuana plants, approximately 8 pounds of processed marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
The estimated street value of the marijuana was $75,000.
The plants ranged from approximately five to seven feet in height.
Police arrested 53 year old Charles B. Beaver of Jasonville, IN.
He lived in the home and is facing several charges.
Beaver is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $28,000 bond.
Police say that one suspect is still at large but they have not identified who that suspect is.
