Here’s some evidence to support the claim by Britney Spears ’ manager that ticket sales for her Las Vegas shows have been selling like hotcakes.
After RadarOnline.com reported this week that ticket sales for Britney, Pieces of Me at Planet Hollywood have been "dismal," Brit's manager, Larry Rudolph , countered to E! Online that it is “the best-selling show in the history of Vegas."
While the veracity of Rudolph’s claim has yet to be determined, TMZ reports that Britney has sold more than 70 thousand of the 73,600 tickets made available for the first 16 shows in her residency. Not too shabby.
In fact, TMZ says Britney may even add more dates to the two-year residency.
Caesars Entertainment, which runs Planet Hollywood, says in a statement, "As we suspected, ticket demand for Britney Spears' headlining residency at Planet Hollywood has been extraordinary. This is as strong an on-sale performance as we've seen for any of our iconic Las Vegas headliner shows. Interest in our VIP packages and meet and greets has been incredible. The vast majority of those packages we've placed on sale, have sold out. We -- and clearly many others throughout the world -- are all eagerly awaiting the show opening December 27."
