An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer is in good condition, with non-life threatening injuries, after he was shot early Tuesday morning on the east side of Indianapolis.
Police were dispatched to an apartment complex on a disturbance with shots fired.
Two officers exchanged shots when a suspect was ordered to drop a weapon.
Police say the suspect is currently in serious condition at Wishard Hospital.
The incident happened less than a week after another IMPD officer, Rod Bradway, was shot and killed on the northwest side of the city.
