Gun advocates say that the state is too slow in setting up concealed-carry in Illinois.
Almost two weeks after state police were supposed to approve trainers, only a handful have been certified.
Under the concealed-carry law, ISP was supposed to begin approving instructors September 7 but only 23 have been approved so far.
ISP also couldn't say why no classes have been approved which was also required by the new law.
A spokesperson for ISP says the agency will update reporters Friday and will have answers to all the questions at that time. Applications for concealed-carry permits are supposed to be available in January.
