As well as Britney Spears ' career is going right now, given her just-announced Las Vegas residency, it's easy to forget that her father still controls her affairs as her conservator.
Jamie Spears wants to make sure he's properly compensated for that role, too. E! Online reports the attorneys handling the conservatorship filed court papers this month requesting that Mr. Spears continue to receive 16 thousand dollars per month from his daughter's estate for his work.
He also seeks 12 hundred dollars per month to cover the cost of his rented office.
The conservatorship attorneys further requested that their payment is increased from 50 percent of their usual fees to 80 percent. They also want 100-percent compensation for other costs.
Jamie was appointed as Britney's conservator in the aftermath of her well-publicized breakdown in 2008.
Britney will be adding a lot more money to her bank account with her Vegas residency. Reportedly, she'll make 15 million dollars for each of her two years at Planet Hollywood.
