VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It only took firefighters around 10 minutes to extinguish a house fire Wednesday in southern Vigo County.
According to Honey Creek Fire Department Public Information Officer Josh Sittler, firefighters responded to 2644 E. Dallas Drive around 10:31 a.m. Wednesday for a structure fire.
The fire was contained to one room on the second floor of a two-story home. The majority of the damage was contained to that room; however, smoke caused additional damage throughout the house.
One occupant of the home was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
