Preliminary findings into the death of two people found in Northwestern Vigo County this past weekend have been released by the county coroner.
The bodies of the man and woman were discovered by people riding ATV’s in the area.
Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos said the cause of death for the woman was strangulation and is being treated as a homicide.
The cause of death for the man is pending.
Amos said that there were no physical injuries consistent with causing his death.
Toxicology results on both victims could take two to four weeks.
No positive identification of the bodies has yet been made.
State police say that right now they do not believe that anyone else was involved in the deaths.
