On Monday Indiana State Police executed a search warrant at 1470 South County Road 425 Wes in Clay County.
Officers found items used to grow marijuana, approximately 140 grams of marijuana, (9) rifles (6) pistols (2) shotguns, ammunition, five homemade plastic “pipe bombs” approximately 2 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter, a “cricket” which is an explosive device made from a CO2 cartridge, a stolen Polaris all terrain vehicle, and a harvested deer taken out of season. Police arrested 49 year old Steven A. Smith, of Cory.
He is facing numerous charges.
The investigation was started when troopers spotted the pot plants during a flyover of the property.
