Rising pop star Austin Mahone was forced to put the brakes on his busy schedule temporarily when he was hospitalized Thursday morning.
A source tells People magazine that the singer had been "feeling ill" for a few days. A spokesperson for the teen singer tells ABC News Radio, "We can confirm that he was admitted to the hospital this morning but are not confirming any other details at this time."
Austin posted an Instagram photo of himself in a hospital robe, attached to an IV, with the caption, "I've never felt so bad." He then posted on Facebook and Twitter a note to fans -- who call themselves "Mahomies" -- saying that he's had to reschedule his concerts in Miami and Orlando, Florida.
" I can’t believe this is happening its my first tour I’m so upset," he wrote, "I feel like I’m letting you all down. Its Doctor’s orders I have a bad flu 103 fever and I can’t move. If I could go I would." The Miami show will now take place on October 22; the Orlando show is scheduled for November 1.
