What will the Linton city council do to get their budget in line with the amount of income they expect next year?
There needs to be $250,000 in budget cuts.
Every option is being looked at including eliminating positions in the police and fire departments.
The Linton City Council will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in City Hall to present decision.
The mayor has said there are a variety of factors that have contributed to the need to make cuts, including $168,000 in tax caps, $75,000 reduction in the County Option Income Tax (COIT), and a loss of funds from the 911 cutbacks by the county.
