A Terre Haute man takes a plea deal and pleads guilty to attempted murder while mentally ill.
Clarence Sandifer was arrested last November for shooting Rodney Johnson in a home on North 13th Street.
Sandifer was a known drug dealer. He also pleaded guilty to several meth related crimes.
Under the plea agreement, Sandifer will be sentenced to 35 years in prison and 15 years of probation.
An evaluation showed he was on meth at the time of the crime.
