A fire alarm went unanswered at Terre Haute’s Garfield towers.
The complex is operated by the Terre Haute hosing authority.
They alarm is monitored by One Touch Security and they call the Fire Department when they receive and alarm.
The problem is they didn’t receive the alarm and it was residents who called for help a half hour after the alarms started sounding.
The alarm was set off by a malfunctioning heat sensor and there was no real emergency.
The malfunctioning sensor has been fixed.
