Nicki Minaj is making serious progress in recording the follow-up to last year's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The fem-cee reveals to MTV News the current status of her third studio album, which is expected to be completed early 2014.
"I'm definitely working," she tells MTV. "I'm very excited at what I've been coming up with. I already started, I didn't tell anybody because I didn't want to jinx it and stuff but I already started and I'm going home tomorrow to really start, like I'm taking two months to really lock in."
Nicki remains mum on the guest spots, however, she says that she's working with fresh talent. "I'm really excited and the people that have been working with me now, have been people that I haven't worked with before," she teases. "So it's like they're bringing a new sound to the album that I've never experimented with and plus, I got so much to talk about."
Nicki does say that the feature appearance she's been making on other people's records "don't delve into no real deep s**t," but on her own upcoming album things will be different because she's "experienced so much in the last year and a half that there is so much for me to talk about and I know my fans are going to be excited about it."
