A Decatur, Indiana man died Sunday after he fell from a tree stand while deer hunting this weekend.
32 year old Timothy E. Bowers, fell from the tree stand, which was about 16 feet above the ground.
Bowers had a neck injury and was paralyzed.
Bowers decided to remove himself from life support systems on Sunday and then died at 7:08 p.m.
The Department of Natural Resources reminds all hunters to always wear a safety harness when climbing into, hunting from, and climbing down from an elevated tree stand and to always use a haul rope or line to haul equipment into and down from a tree stand.
