A Vigo County Deputy Sheriff arrests a man for drunk driving after nearly being hit head on.
Officials say that Deputy Brent Hall barley missed being hit by 36 year old Keenan Harris on Lafayette St. near Haythorne Ave. when Harris crossed the center.
Hall caught up to the vehicle as it was pulling into Maurizio's Pizza.
Harris then fled on foot but when Hall caught up with him Harris turned and charged the officer.
Hall stepped to the side and Harris went down face first onto a concrete step.
Harris had a blood alcohol level of .29 and was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment of his head injury.
Hall suffered a minor injury to his and was treated and released.
Hall was off duty at the time.
When Harris is release from the hospital he will get to go back the Vigo County Jail, which is place he is familiar with.
He was arrested twice in 2008 for driving drunk and one other time for battery on police and resisting arrest.
