Obamacare is being blamed for a split between Vigo County Schools and St.Patrick's parochial school in Terre Haute.
News 10 reports that the Vigo County School Corporation has notified St. Pat’s that their students will no longer be able to compete alongside other middle school students in Vigo County.
Superintendent Danny Tanoos cited budget restraints caused by the affordable healthcare act as the cause for the decision.
The health care act will affect their bus drivers and any other employee’s that work 30 hours or more a week.
The program of allowing St. Pat’s students to join Vigo County teams has been in place for the past 15 years.
