A large crowd last night at the West Terre Haute town council meeting.
The main concern was flooding in the area.
The residents came looking for answers. The town council did its best to supply them.
Right now there are many questions and few answers.
The next step will be working with USDA and other government agencies to see is work on current levees or perhaps building other levees might be the answer.
One thing for sure is that the town of West Terre Haute does not have the money to solve the problem themselves.
Recent state cut backs have reduced the towns budget by $250,000. Residents are being asked to make sure that they file reports with local officials to make sure that flood damage is documented so that the information can be presented to those that might help.
