Last year we didn’t have nearly enough rain and so far this year we have too much.
The Purdue Extension office says that normally farmers would like to be mostly planted by now.
At this rate having everything planted by the end of the month might be optimistic.
If you have a home garden you will still be largely ok.
Since there is still a long time left till fall it is still too early to tell whether this will be a good or bad year as there are still many variables that we don’t know.
Those are further rain during the season, plus crop disease, and pests.
The experts say that there are still a couple of weeks to go before starting to worry about this season.
