The Cubs were in Arlington on Monday and Scott Feldman faced his former team for the first time.
Feldman pitched 7 scoreless innings against the Rangers who are ranked 10th in the league in batting.
Not only can he pitch but Feldman got the rally started in the 4th inning when he hit an RBI single to left field. Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo drove in two runs each as the Cubs scored 5 runs in the 4th.
The Rangers were in a deep hole after Rizzo smacked one into the right field stands in the bottom of the 8th putting the Cubs up 9-0.
Texas scored just two runs in the 9th and the Cubs held on for a 9-2 win over the Rangers.
