A downtown Terre Haute landmark has a new owner.
The Indiana Theatre at 683 Ohio St. has been sold to Rob Lundstrom, who owns the Copper Bar and Louise’s.
Lundstrom says that he plans to operate the building as a catering and event center.
There are also plans to make some upgrades and renovations that are consistent with the architecture of the building.
The Indiana Theater has been on the National Register of Historic Places since November 1997.
Even though the building is largely known as a theater it was also built to handle live performances.
It history dates back to the vaudeville days when many famous performers made stops in Terre Haute to appear on the stage of the Indiana.
