A man facing animal cruelty charges has a trial date set.

Joshua Patterson wasn’t in court but his attorney was and entered a not guilty plea for the Pleasantville man.

Patterson will go to court July 16 to face 6 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty after authorities found the remains of five dead dogs and two animals barley surviving at his residence.
