A road construction project in Vigo County that has already taken years will now take even longer.

Work on the next phase of State Road 641, from Feree Drive to Moyer Road has been put on hold as crews have come across some unexpected wetlands. INDOT is working with several agencies to amend work permits so that they can start work again but that may not happen until fall. State highway officials say that they still hope to have the project finished by the end of 2014.
