Trey Burke of the Michigan Wolverines has been named Big Ten player of the year.
The point guard for the Wolverines has averaged 19.2 points and 6.8 assists this season.
Burke along with Indiana’s Victor Oladipo will also be considered for national player of the year.
The All-Big Ten first team selected by the media panel includes Burke, Oladipo and Cody Zellar of IU along with Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State. The coaches made almost identical selections except Michigan’s Tim Hardaway Jr. replaced Aaron Craft.
