If you thought Adele looked like a million bucks on Oscar night, it's because that's how much it cost to make the British singer look that fabulous.
The British paper The Daily Mail reports that between Adele's hair, makeup, nails and other beauty treatments, and her designer dress and shoes, it cost 631,000 pounds -- that's $953,000 -- to create her Oscar look. Here's how the paper breaks it down:
$868 for her hair, including cut, color, blow dry and product
$36,000 for her two dresses, one by Jenny Packham and one by Burberry, plus the advice of a top stylist
$6,600 for her shoes: two pairs of Louboutin heels
$4,500 for her nails, which were done by manicurist-to-the-stars Kimmie Kyees
$270 for her skin, which was prepped and then made up with a variety of pricey products
$65 for her lips, which took two different Armani products to create
$132 for her eyes, which took a variety of designer shadows, liners, mascara and false eyelashes
Whew! It's a good thing that in 2012, Adele reportedly made something like $62,000 a day. And on top of all that, the Mail reports that the singer borrowed over $900,000 worth of Harry Winston jewels -- diamond earrings, specifically -- to wear on the Oscar red carpet.
