Tiger Woods has been diagnosed with a strain in his left elbow.
The injury plagued him in the US Open as he finished 13-over and was seen holding his elbow after most shots.
It marks the 6th straight year an injury has kept him from playing of finishing a tournament.
Woods will not defend his title in the AT&T National at Congressional. Tiger has missed the tournament three times since the tournament began in 2007—knee surgery in 2008, left Achilles tendon in 2011 and of course the elbow this year. The tournament benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Tiger says he will be ready to tee off at the Open Championship at Muirfield next month.
