More details are becoming available in a gun fight with police that has left one man dead.
Reports are that police were called out when a man went into the Black Oak Armaments gun store on US 50 in Davies County and demanded that he be sold a gun.
When the gun shop owner refused, a gunfight took place inside the building, as the suspect left.
Police say that 60 year James Jones, of Shoals, then got into a gun fight with Indiana State Police Trooper Jarrod Lents.
Lents was shot several times by Jones but his injuries were non-life threatening.
Lents was treated and released from the hospital.
Lents is a 9 year veteran of the force.
Jones was killed in the shoot out.
One man is dead and an Indiana State Police Trooper is wounded in a shooting incident in Davies County.
It happened at Black Oak Armaments on U.S. 50 near Washington, Indiana around 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.
The Trooper has been identified as Jarrod Lentz.
He was taken to Deaconess Hospital.
His condition has not been released.
The person that was killed has not been identified nor has the circumstances surrounding the incident.
