Indiana ranks second in the nation in the percentage of kids taking medicine for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder otherwise known as ADHD.
Nearly 12 percent of Hoosier kids ages 2 to 17 have an ADHD diagnosis.
That ranks Indiana 4th in the nation.
Nine percent of those diagnosed are taking some kind of medication for the disorder which makes Indiana 2nd only to Louisiana.
Even with that high number some officials say that there could still be many children that suffer from the disorder but aren’t diagnosed and others that are misdiagnosed.
