Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller made a stop in Terre Haute Tuesday as well as several other cities around the state to return unclaimed money to the rightful owners.
Over $1,600 in unclaimed money was given to the city which will go into the general fund.
Zoeller says he and the program's new mascot "Buck the Money Dog" are anxious to get the unclaimed property back to the original owners.
If you would like to see if there is money that belongs to you check the states website.
