A fire around 3 this morning at 1339 Chestnut just a few blocks north of Wabash.
Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement when they arrived.
The American Red Cross is helping seven adults and five kids that were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported. A cause has not been determined.
