Flu continues to take a toll on Indiana residents.
State health officials say that there have been 40 to die from complications of the flu and that most of those victims are over age 65. Just last week the death total was 27. Officials say that 33 of Indiana’s flu deaths have been among people over age 65.
Thirty-eight of Indiana’s flu deaths were among people with underlying medical conditions such as heart disease or diabetes. State Health officials say that they are not sure if the flu has peaked in the state yet.
