A one car fatal accident last night in Sullivan County.

Indiana State Police say that a car driven by 30 year old Billy Solterman of Oaktown was traveling north on US41 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car, it left the road and hit a tree head on.

The accident happened just north of Sullivan near County Road 1200 South around 10 P.M.

Solterman’s wife, 28 year old Shanda was a passenger and she was killed in the accident.

Billy suffered facial, leg and internal injuries.

His condition is unknown.

Seatbelts were not being used and alcohol may have been a factor. Police are continuing their investigation.
