Harry Cruse Jr. of Terre Haute pulled into his garage yesterday and thought he placed his vehicle in park. It wasn’t.
When Cruse exited the vehicle the 1999 Ford Ranger eventually reversed and pinned his leg between the truck door and the garage door frame.
Cruse attempted to phone 911 but his call was repeatedly dropped. He then called his wife whothen called 911 and emergency response crews were called out.
But it was Bob Miller, who passed by, noticed Cruse in distress. Miller then pulled over andrushed to Cruse’s aid and freed him before emergency response crews arrived at the scene.
Cruse was taken to Union Hospital for treatment and released.
