A car – moped accident last night in western Vigo County sends one person to the hospital.

Vigo County Sheriffs deputies say that it happened around 6 last night near Illiana Drive and Robinson Place.

The moped, which did not have any lights, was travelling west on Illiana Drive when it was rear ended by a Jeep.

The driver of the moped was thrown 50 feet from the point of impact.

The driver of the bike suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

Police are continuing their investigation.
