A man from Little Rock Arkansas has been arrested in Vermillion County for trying to sell a stolen car.

A Seelyville man called Clinton Police to tell them that he was supposed to meet Johnnie Brook at the Clinton Wal Mart to buy a  new Toyota car for $6000. It all started with an ad on Craigslist.

Little Rock Police say that Brook may be connected to a string of car thefts in the Little Rock area. Police say that if they hadn’t been there during the supposed deal things could have gone terribly wrong.

A person selling the car could have shown up knowing that the buyer had cash and could have simply robbed him and maybe stolen his car.
