Two years ago there was talk of not teaching cursive writing in schools and focusing more on keyboarding.
Vigo County Schools said not to worry, they would keep teaching cursive.
Now some Indiana lawmakers are considering a push to require the teaching of cursive.
Republican Sen. Jean Leising of Oldenburg is sponsoring a bill that would require all public school districts and all accredited private elementary schools to teach cursive.
The state Senate passed a similar bill last year but it didn’t make it out of the house.
