A Terre Haute man is being held in the Vigo County Jail on domestic battery charges.
Police say that a woman was being helped to jump start her car New Years morning by man in the parking lot at 9th and Chestnut near the Ballyhoo tavern.
She told police she was hit in the head with a bottle that was thrown by Jerry Reedy.
She suffered a cut over her eye.
Reedy's held on $25,000 bond.
