An arrest warrant put a Vermilion County alderman in jail this weekend. 

Ward 1 Alderman Kevin Davis called Danville police to make a complaint about a separate matter. 

Officers did the normal checks while investigating and discovered that a warrant had been issued for Davis last month in Coles County. 

Davis had received a traffic ticket for driving on a suspended license and then missed his hearing.  He is being held on $1,500 bond.
