A plea deal in a Sullivan county animal abuse case.

Jerry Butler Senior of Shelburn was charged with cruelty to animals, for the abuse of four horses that resulted in the death of two.

Under terms of a plea deal Butler will serve 5 days in jail, 355 days of probation, and 40 hours of community service.

He will also not be allowed to own any animals during his probation.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on February 26th.
