A man was discovered in a ditch along I-70 early Saturday morning.
A call came in to central dispatch around 3:30 a.m. a bout a person found near the 12 mile marker in the east bound lanes.
18 year old David E. Halcomb, of Clayton, Indiana was found by police about 50 feet off of the highway.
Halcomb had a fractured leg and a blood alcohol level of point 12 percent.
The preliminary investigation shows that Halcomb was one of two passengers in a vehicle driven by a friend, traveling back to Hendricks County after an evening in Terre Haute.
Police aren’t sure why Halcomb wound up in the ditch.
Police know who the other people are that are involved and their investigation is continuing and charges could be filed.
