The Indiana Attorney General’s Office is demanding that Indiana Department of Transportation field engineer Scott Trammell repay the state over $33,000 after they say that his second wife received medical benefits that she was not entitled to.

Trammell is still employed with the state.

The reason that wife #2 wasn’t entitled to the benefits was because Trammell was still married to wife #1.

He said that he thought he was no longer married to #1.

State workers discovered a problem when Trammell reported a new marriage to a third wife on October 9, 2012.
