A woman working in the food service department at the New Castle Correctional Facility was accused of smuggling tobacco and cellphones to inmates.
Indiana State Police say that 44 year old Roberta Ashburn turned herself in to police at the Henry County Jail after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Internal investigators said Ashburn worked for Aramark, the private company that provides food to the prison.
ISP said Ashburn's arrest was the second time this year that a prison employee was accused of smuggling contraband.
Ashburn is being held on $7,500 bail.
