Vigo Parks Department Have Several Cabin Fever Programs

Fowler Park
Fowler Park

It’s easy to get “cabin-fever” this time of year.

It’s cold outside and sometimes it’s easy to get bored inside.

With that in mind the Vigo Parks and Recreation Department is hosting some new programs and activates in January.

The programs are designed to teach about nature, conservation and the environment.

We have a list of programs here, for more information or to register call or email:

Natural Resource Programmer, Amber Slaughterbeck at 812-462-3392 .

The Parks Department Website is: http://www.vigo.lib.in.us/

Here are the programs that are offered:

Nature's Design Wednesday, January 22 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fowler Park: Log Barn Registration Required by 1/20/14 Ages 5+ $2 per person Birds cannot see glass, especially if it is reflecting the nearby habitat or sky. These reflections do not register as such to a bird. This is why millions of birds die or are injured each year in collisions with glass windows in homes and office buildings. Do your part to help prevent these collisions by making this fun and easy craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Min.15/Max.25

Join us at the Vigo County Public Library for "Nature Tales" Monthly Library Programs For more information, visit their website or call them at 812-462-3392.
