Not everything can be emailed, and for those of you who still use the US Postal Service, it’s about to cost you more.
Regulators have approved a temporary price hike of 3 cents for a first-class stamp.
Temporary means, no more than two years.
The price will now be 49 cents for a first class stamp.
If you have already purchased Forever Stamps, those won’t be affected.
Bulk mail, periodicals and package service rates will rise 6 percent.
The new rate is effective Jan. 26.
The higher rate is to allow the Postal Service to recoup $2.8 billion in losses over the economic downturn.
