Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller is warning Hoosiers to be on the look out for scam artists who might try to take advantage of those who suffered flood damage.
Recent heavy rains have left some underwater.
Zoeller says damage around the holidays and during the winter means that many will be in a hurry to get things fixed and that could lead to bad decisions.
Zoeller reminds you to check references, don’t pay for the whole job upfront and if you have any questions get them answered before you seal the deal.
Contact the Attorney Generals office or the Better Business Bureau if you have questions or need help.
