When the holidays are over what do you do with the stuff that is left over?
The city and county parks departments, the mayor’s office, TREES Inc. and Republic Services have teemed up to help you out.
When you take the decorations off of your live tree you can drop it off at either Dobbs, Rea or Flower Parks where they will be turned into mulch to be used in the parks.
Republic Services will also have recycling receptacles set up at those parks for paper, plastic, aluminum and cardboard.
Starting Friday January 4th you can drop off your items between 8 and 3:30.
Wabash Valley Goodwill will accept recyclable items at their S. Third St. location in Terre Haute.
Another option is the Indiana State University Recycle Center.
Both ISU and Goodwill will have special hours during the holidays and be back to regular hours after the holidays.
